Hook Up

By definition a Hook-Up by Google is a connection to a public electric, water, or sewer line, or to a similar service.  According the Urban Dictionary – a hook up is an exchange of something of value, something that is tangible.  However there are times when the hook up is not tangible, it is a desire to “get in” or have someone pave the way. 

Be careful when you apply for "hook-up"; one must know the motive behind the person that offers a hook-up.  Furthermore it might be better to lean not unto getting a "hook-up" and trust that if it's for you, no one and no thing can withhold it.  JMT
