Seriously

Mathematical Integrity

Proverbs 28:6 Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.

I was presented with a scenario which at first glance appeared to be one of helping someone with a perplexed situation.  If you don’t know me I love a challenge.  As I thought on this request I found my spirit in turmoil = confused disturbance.  During the conversation I laughed at (1) the idea of the request having underlying tones of solicitation not only for my academic experience but more importantly for the selling and buying of my integrity and morals.  At that I began to have grave concerns for the crossroad of decision I was about to embark on.  Being human I dismissed it as a corporate effort (fleshy desire to excel), I can help this person and possibly gain additional knowledge because of an immediate situation I'm about to engage in.  The most important piece of this scenario is what I could lose…. In the world of mathematics the loss is one variable that cannot be calculated….
